Also I've finally figured out a really good use for this blog besides fluffy "update" posts about our snail-paced progress. (Sorry folks...this IS a side-project.)
Over the past couple of years, we have accumulated fanart (of course) from friends, art exchanges...and even some commissions. But we never really publicly displayed them. I've always wanted to because we got so many beautiful images from fans, but haven't been doing anything with the images we have. Also in the depths of my hard-drive, I've found old production images from the days when we were producing Dark Souls. We had some good times with those. So, images that were previously only available to people who pre-ordered the comic will now be public!
But not all at once mind you. Keep watching this blog as I update it with various fanarts, production art, commissions and Negate Never art too. :D If you have fanart tucked away please send it to us through email or DeviantArt Note.
So without further ado...here are this month's images. (click the thumbnails to see the full image.)
This was a fanart commission of all the main characters created by Pompi. Animetor Lily got this done. I really like Daitsu the best in this one. He and Lucius are about to cause some trouble. :3
This was a Daitsu commission created by Crispy-Gypsy. I got this done for bluebug and to make some new banners. I just love Crispy's style. And it was refreshing to see all our characters in a non-anime style. (Yes...I got more commissions by Crispy that'll come in the future.)
This was a gift art created for Animetor Lily by BakaDucky. A lovely grey scale image of Vance and the artist's mascot. He just looks so at peace...I don't know why the ducky is so nervous! (And shoot, drawing crossed legs...not easy!)
I got this fanart of Persephone from the Multi-Artist Exchange. This was by Offside7. I don't have too many images of Persephone (compared to the floods of Lucius art). So I thought I'd give her some attention. Offside just did a splendid job coloring her. I love that shade of lipstick on her. ;)
And from production side...I got a throw pillow made with some of my Lucius artwork. :3 It's so soft and squishy. You can see my old dorm floor. Man this thing is so old now!
And some deliciously embarrassing concept art of Lucius. This was my first "character sheet" for him. I drew it during class. (I had a bad habit of bringing printer paper to some of my more boring lectures. Tch...still got my degree anyway!) As you can see I need to work on my anatomy a bit more. The final version looks much better.
I will start compiling the fanart onto ONE big blog post eventually. It's pretty late tonight so that will have to wait. :)
